Homicide Investigation Underway in Wilson County After Discovery of Human Skeletal Remains

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI), in collaboration with the Neodesha Police Department and the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office, is investigating a homicide following the discovery of human skeletal remains in rural Wilson County.

On September 24, around 11:30 a.m., Neodesha police sought KBI assistance after finding the remains in a pasture located east of 6554 Ottawa Rd. KBI agents and the Crime Scene Response Team confirmed the remains were human.

An autopsy is planned, but the identification process may take longer than usual due to the condition of the remains.
