Carter Jensen, the Royals’ No. 3 prospect, has hit two major milestones this season. After a strong performance at Double-A Northwest Arkansas, Jensen was promoted to Triple-A Omaha. The 22-year-old catcher posted a .292/.360/.420 slash line in 68 games before the move.
Earlier this week, Jensen was also named to the 2025 All-Star Futures Game, representing the Royals on the American League squad. This honor is one he has aimed for since being drafted.
Jensen’s promotion puts him just one step away from the major leagues, with the Royals possibly viewing him as important catching depth by 2026. In his first games at Triple-A, Jensen has already shown power, hitting three home runs in two games.
He’s excited for the opportunities ahead and looks forward to learning from peers at the Futures Game.
