The Junction City Fire Department honored boy scout Koen Oxford a the Geary County City Commission meeting.

Koen assumed leadership of the project, organizing four Volunteer Painting Dates along with specified times, instructions on attire and items to bring, and even arranged for lunch and drinks. Additionally, Koen provided the groups with a safety briefing. Together with the Troop, they successfully painted 65 hydrants.
