Kansas State women’s basketball has signed Nastja Claessens, a forward from Belgium, to its 2025-26 roster.

Claessens brings strong international experience, recently helping Belgium win the 2025 FIBA Women’s EuroBasket. She averaged 5.2 points and shot over 50% from the field in six games during the tournament.

She also played in the 2024 Paris Olympics and the EuroBasket Qualifiers, gaining valuable high-level experience. Claessens was drafted 30th overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Washington Mystics but chose to play college basketball to develop further.

Claessens has competed at various FIBA youth levels, consistently posting double-digit scoring and solid rebounding numbers. She also played professionally in Spain’s Liga Femenina, gaining experience against tough competition.

Her signing adds depth and international talent to K-State as the Wildcats prepare for the upcoming season.
