K-State Alumni Team Returns for TBT Regional in Kansas City

Kansas State’s alumni team, Purple Reign, will compete in the $1 million winner-take-all The Basketball Tournament (TBT), co-hosting the Kansas City Regional with JHX Hoops at Municipal Auditorium from July 19–23.

Purple Reign, the No. 3 seed, faces No. 6 seed The Shine on Saturday, July 19 at 1 p.m. CT. A win would match them against either No. 2 JHX Hoops or No. 7 OffDaHook on Monday, July 21 at 8 p.m. The regional final is set for Wednesday, July 23 at 6 p.m.

This marks Purple Reign’s eighth TBT appearance. The team is led by former Wildcats Jordan Henriquez-Roberts, D.J. Johnson, and Martavious Irving, with Jacob Pullen headlining the roster.

The Kansas City Regional winner will face the Wichita Regional champion in the quarterfinals on July 27. Tickets and more information are available at TheTournament.com.
