K-State Cruises Past BYU Behind Poindexter’s Season-High Performance 12/10

K-State women’s basketball continued its dominant season on Saturday, defeating BYU 92-65 at the Marriott Center. Senior forward Temira Poindexter led the charge with a season-high 24 points, including five three-pointers. The Wildcats extended their win streak to 12 games, tying the sixth-longest in program history.

K-State (17-1, 5-0 Big 12) used a 27-12 second quarter to build an 18-point halftime lead. Poindexter’s sharpshooting was complemented by Ayoka Lee’s 19 points and seven rebounds, while Serena Sundell recorded her sixth double-double with 12 points and 13 assists.

The Wildcats shot 52.1% from the field, including 46.2% from beyond the arc, and committed just five turnovers. BYU (10-6, 1-4) was led by a strong fourth quarter but couldn’t overcome the deficit.
