K-State Edges Colorado for Road Conference Win

Kansas State Wildcats women’s tennis earned a 4-3 win over the Colorado Buffaloes women’s tennis Friday in Boulder for its first road victory in Big 12 Conference play this season.

K-State improved to 5-4 overall and 2-1 in conference matches. The Wildcats also recorded their first win over Colorado since 2018.

The Wildcats took the doubles point with wins from the No. 1 team of Maralgoo Chogsomjav and Martaa Chogsomjav, and the No. 3 team of Sasha Kyselova and Chanel Rustemova.

In singles play, K-State picked up wins from Kyselova, Varvara Bernovich and Rustemova. Rustemova secured the match with a 6-3, 6-4 victory in the final contest on court.

Colorado fell to 9-4 overall and 1-2 in conference play.
