K-State Men Finish Fourth, Wamokpego Wins NCAA Title

The Kansas State Wildcats men’s track and field team placed fourth at the NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships Saturday at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Kansas State scored 24 points for its highest finish and point total in program history. The Wildcats also earned 12 First Team All-America honors during the two-day meet.

On the women’s side, Daniela Wamokpego won the national title in the triple jump with a school-record leap of 13.84 meters (45-5) on her final attempt. The mark broke the previous K-State record set in 2017.

Selva Prabhu finished second in the men’s triple jump with a school-record 17.05 meters. Teammates Aaron Antoine placed fifth and Trevon Hamer eighth in the event.

The women’s team finished seventh with 25 points, matching the program’s 2000 team total. Kansas State was one of six schools with both teams finishing in the top 10.
