The Kansas State track and field program had 34 athletes named to the Academic All-Big 12 Teams, the conference announced Tuesday.
Twenty-six Wildcats — eight men and 18 women — were recognized on the spring list, while eight freshmen earned spots on the Rookie Team. Six Wildcats posted perfect 4.00 GPAs: Devin Chappel, Jourdin Edwards, Cecilia Fisher, Emil Uhlin, Brock Olsen, and Peyton Willbanks. Fisher has now earned a 4.00 GPA for two straight seasons.
Uhlin was also named to the CSC Academic All-America Third Team in July. Edwards, Nate Collier, Tommy Hazen, and Tavon Underwood received CSC Academic All-District honors in June.
To qualify, student-athletes must hold at least a 3.20 GPA and participate in 20% of team events. Seniors meeting academic requirements after two years are also eligible.
The full list includes representatives from multiple majors across both men’s and women’s squads.
