K-State Plans Youth Clinic for National Sports Day

Kansas State Athletics will host its eighth annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day event on Saturday, February 7, in Manhattan. The event includes a pregame clinic from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Ice Basketball Training Facility, followed by the K-State women’s basketball game against BYU at 4 p.m.

The clinic is open to students in first through eighth grade and will be led by K-State women’s athletic teams. The $10 registration fee includes clinic admission, a K-State fanny pack and a general admission ticket to the game. All participants must register by January 30, as the event has reached capacity in recent years.

General admission tickets for the Big 12 matchup are $12 plus tax. This year marks the 40th anniversary of National Girls and Women in Sports Day, which promotes participation, confidence and leadership through sports.
