By Jayson Henderson

Seven Kansas State football players have earned spots on the 2025 National College Football Awards Association (NCFAA) preseason watch lists, recognizing standout athletes across the country.

Running back Dylan Edwards leads the group, appearing on three lists: the Maxwell Award (top player), Paul Hornung Award (most versatile), and Jet Award (top return specialist). Quarterback Avery Johnson joins Edwards on the Maxwell list.

Linebacker Austin Romaine is on the watch lists for both the Bronko Nagurski Trophy (top defensive player) and Butkus Award (top linebacker). Center Sam Hecht is listed for the Outland Trophy, which honors the best interior lineman.

Defensive tackle Damian Ilalio rounds out the group on the Wuerffel Trophy list, which highlights players for community service, academics, and on-field play.

The NCFAA will continue unveiling watch lists through August 11.
