Kansas State women’s soccer earned a 2-0 win at South Dakota on Thursday, improving to 3-0 for the first time since 2018.
Hannah Palmer opened the scoring in the 36th minute when her shot hit the crossbar and crossed the line. It was her second straight game-winning goal, setting a program record for a sophomore season.
In the 51st minute, Allison Marshall made it 2-0 after running onto a pass from McKinnan Braswell and chipping the goalkeeper. It was Marshall’s first goal of the season.
Goalkeeper Maddie Sibbing made three saves for her third consecutive shutout. K-State outshot South Dakota 14-9, including 9-1 in the second half.
The Wildcats have now won five straight road openers and lead the series with the Coyotes 4-0. They continue their road trip on Aug. 28 against UMass Lowell.
