K-State Women’s Tennis Earns ITA All-Academic Team Honor

The K-State women’s tennis team was named an All-Academic Team by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) for the seventh straight year. The Wildcats earned the honor with a combined team GPA of 3.76 for the 2024-25 season.

All eight players on the roster—Maralgoo Chogsomjav, Sana Garakani, Charlotte Keitel, Veronika Kulhava, Zali Morris, Tereza Polakova, Zhanel Rustemova, and Maria Santos—also received individual ITA Scholar Athlete recognition.

This marked the third consecutive year for Santos to earn the honor. Keitel, Kulhava, and Polakova also repeated as Scholar Athletes.

Head coach Jordan Smith credited the players’ dedication and academic support staff for the achievement.

Within the Big 12, K-State tied for second-most Scholar Athletes with eight players, following Arizona’s eleven.

The ITA requires teams to have a minimum 3.20 GPA and players to maintain at least a 3.50 GPA for Scholar Athlete status.
