Dee Kennedy, shortstop for the Kansas State Wildcats baseball, has been named to the Brooks Wallace Award watch list, which recognizes the top shortstops in college baseball.
The watch list includes 100 players selected by the College Baseball Foundation. The award is named after former Texas Tech Red Raiders baseball shortstop Brooks Wallace.
Kennedy becomes the third Kansas State shortstop in the last four years to receive the recognition, joining Maximus Martin in 2025 and Nick Goodwin in 2023.
The junior from Fort Worth, Texas has started the season strong. Through 12 games, Kennedy is batting .357 with four home runs, three doubles and one triple. He also has 21 RBI and seven stolen bases.
Kennedy has already earned several honors this season, including Big 12 Player of the Week after opening weekend.
