Freshman Selva Prabhu earned First Team All-America honors for Kansas State on Friday (June 13) after placing fifth in the men’s triple jump at the NCAA Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon. Prabhu recorded a mark of 16.09m (52′ 9 ½”) in just his fourth meet of the season.
Senior Emil Uhlin placed third in the decathlon with 7,859 points, earning his first First Team honor. Sophomore Riley Marx finished 11th in the javelin with a throw of 70.71m (232′ 0″) to claim Second Team honors.
K-State’s men scored 10 points in total, tying for 30th in the team standings. Uhlin contributed six points, while Prabhu added four.
Prabhu’s personal best jump of 16.49m (54′ 1 ¼”) at the NCAA West Preliminary ranks third in K-State history.
All three K-State men earned All-America honors in their final meet of the season.
