Kansas Insurance Commissioner Vicki Schmidt has released the 2025 “Overview of the Health Insurance Market in Kansas.” This report provides details about the Kansas Health Insurance Marketplace and is available online.
The upcoming open enrollment period for health insurance in Kansas runs from November 1 to January 15. During this time, Kansans can choose to stay with their current policy (if available) or select a new one from their current or a different provider.
To have coverage effective January 1, enrollment must be completed by December 15. Policies purchased between December 16 and January 15 will start coverage on February 1.
“It is important for Kansans to make informed decisions when deciding which coverage is best for them and their families,” Schmidt said. “The Kansas Department of Insurance is here to provide information and assist.”
