Kansas Leaders Urge USPS to Relocate and Modernize Olathe Postal Facility Amid Ongoing Mail Delays

U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D., joined Senator Jerry Moran and U.S. Representative Sharice Davids in urging USPS Postmaster General Louis DeJoy to relocate and modernize the downtown Olathe postal facility. Olathe, one of Kansas’ fastest-growing cities, is collaborating with USPS to move and upgrade the current facility. This relocation is part of the city’s efforts to revitalize downtown while minimizing disruptions to postal services.

The Kansas City area has faced significant mail delays, ranking sixth-worst for on-time delivery in the nation in 2024. Senator Marshall has been a strong advocate for improving mail service in Kansas, including supporting the new post office in Winchester, securing an audit of USPS services in the Kansas City area, and seeking answers for ongoing mail delays in Johnson County.
