The Kansas Manufacturing Council (KMC), a program of the Kansas Chamber, is once again searching for the Coolest Thing Made in Kansas. Now in its sixth year, the contest—presented by Forvis Mazars—aims to spotlight innovative products made in Kansas and distributed nationwide and globally.
The competition is open to any product manufactured in the state. It begins with a nomination period, after which a panel of industry experts and community leaders will select the Top 10 finalists. Those finalists will be announced in mid-September, giving the public a chance to learn about each product and vote for the “People’s Choice” winner.
All finalists will showcase their products at the Coolest Celebration Reception on Monday, October 27, in a tradeshow-style event. The overall winner will be selected based on the product’s impact, its value to the business, employees, and customers.
Winners of both the People’s Choice and Overall Coolest Thing Made in Kansas will be announced at the Kansas Manufacturing Summit on Tuesday, October 28, at the Hyatt Regency in Wichita.
