The Kansas Sampler Foundation (KSF) has received a multi-year grant from The Patterson Family Foundation to help carry out its recent strategic plan and support a leadership transition announced last week. This funding is an important step in strengthening the foundation’s long-term stability.

The grant will allow KSF to reach more rural communities across Kansas and support staff during the leadership change. It will also help expand programs that serve small towns and rural residents.

The Patterson Family Foundation is a family-led organization that continues the work of Neal and Jeanne Patterson, helping rural communities thrive through grants and local initiatives in Kansas and western Missouri.

Over three years, the funding will allow KSF to hire staff for key projects, including growing the Kansas Explorers Club, launching the Online Kansas Guidebook, and developing platforms to support rural Kansans in the We Kan! Network. These programs mainly focus on Kansas towns with 1,500 people or less.

The grant helps KSF build a stronger foundation, connect communities, and better meet local needs.
