Kansas SBDC Reports Strong 2025 Impact, Supporting Business Growth and Job Creation Statewide

The Kansas Small Business Development Center network reported strong statewide impact in 2025, supporting entrepreneurs through advising, training, and access to capital to help start businesses, create jobs, and strengthen local economies.

From October 1, 2024, through September 30, 2025, Kansas SBDC provided one-on-one advising to 2,583 small businesses and reached more than 4,100 Kansans through 281 training events. These efforts led to 205 new businesses, 1,067 jobs created, and 5,657 jobs retained statewide. Assisted businesses also reported more than $411 million in gross revenue.

During the year, Kansas SBDC helped businesses secure nearly $54 million in capital, including $38.9 million in loans and $15 million in equity. More than 2,200 clients served were in underserved communities.

Kansas SBDC offers no-cost, confidential consulting through a statewide network, with support from the U.S. Small Business Administration, the State of Kansas, and community partners.
