Kansas State clashed with No. 25/21 BYU in a basketball showdown on Saturday afternoon at Bramlage Coliseum, Manhattan, Kansas. The game drew 9,117 fans as Kansas State emerged victorious with a final score of 84-74. Junior Arthur Kaluma led the charge with a career-best 28 points and 10 rebounds, spearheading five Wildcats in double figures. Kansas State’s offensive went 56.3% field goal percentage and sinking 46.7% of their 3-pointers. Defensively, they held BYU to 40.8% shooting and limited their 3-point accuracy to 19.4%. The win snapped K-State’s 3-game losing streak, improving their record to 16-11 overall and 6-8 in the Big 12. Kaluma’s stellar performance included his first 25-point, 10-rebound game, marking his eighth career double-double. The victory sets the stage for K-State’s upcoming matchup against West Virginia on Monday night.
