Kansas State University’s fourth annual Women in Business Career Summit will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 28. Hosted by the College of Business Administration’s Center for Principled Business, the event is open to students, faculty, staff, corporate partners, and community professionals. It aims to inspire women in their academic and career paths, offering practical tools for personal and professional growth.
This year’s summit features two K-State alumnae as keynote speakers: Sheila Ellis-Glasper, founder and CEO of SEG Media Collective, and Charlene Lake, senior vice president and chief sustainability officer at AT&T. Ellis-Glasper will discuss confidence and leadership, while Lake will share her career experiences and advice.
The event includes breakout sessions and workshops, such as one led by K-State First Lady Sally Linton. Registration is online, and the summit is free for students, faculty, and staff, with lunch provided. Scholarships from the Women in Business Initiative, totaling over $30,000 last year, are available for students and the application deadline is Friday, Oct. 25.
