Governor Laura Kelly announced that Kansas tax collections reached $1.02 billion in September, exceeding estimates by $8 million, or 0.8%. This marks a 3.2% increase compared to September 2023.

Individual income tax collections totaled $468.1 million, which is $68.1 million (17%) above expectations and a 19.8% rise from the previous year. In contrast, corporate income tax collections were $228.1 million, falling short by $61.9 million (21.4%) and down 12.8% from September 2023.
