Kansas State fell in straight sets to No. 13 Kansas on Saturday at Morgan Family Arena, 25-22, 25-20, 26-24, as the teams split the season series in the Dillons Sunflower Showdown.
K-State’s Ava LeGrand recorded 34 assists and 12 digs for her 13th double-double of the season. Aniya Clinton added 11 kills and 11 digs. Shaylee Myers led all players with 15 kills, while Symone Sims collected 12 digs and Brenna Schmidt had four blocks.
Kansas hit .250 with 45 kills, compared to K-State’s .150 and 40 kills. The Jayhawks held an 8-4 edge in blocks and a 5-2 advantage in aces. K-State led briefly in the third set before Kansas closed with a late 5-2 stretch.
K-State moved to 15-8 (8-7 Big 12) and will travel to Houston on Wednesday for its next match.
