Kansas Trails, Inc. (KTI) has launched as the state’s first nonprofit organization focused on uniting and supporting Kansas’s trail community. Its mission is to make trails across the state more accessible, sustainable, and widely used—now and for future generations.

KTI serves as a central hub for trail users, cities, volunteers, and organizations, offering interactive trail maps, expert guidance for planning and building trails, promotional support for local events, and advocacy to ensure trail maintenance and accessibility. The group also provides networking and membership opportunities to strengthen statewide collaboration.

To further connect communities, KTI recently introduced Trail.Talk.Tuesday, a free monthly webinar series. Running through January 2026, the sessions cover topics like trail planning, construction, and the role of trails in Kansas culture. The next session is Aug. 12 at noon.

KTI works closely with state and local partners to highlight how trails benefit outdoor recreation, tourism, rural development, and overall community health.
