The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) carried out multiple search warrants at vape shops and CBD dispensaries across the state, targeting products being sold illegally in Kansas.
On Wednesday, Oct. 1, Attorney General Kris Kobach and KBI Director Tony Mattivi announced that KBI agents, working with local law enforcement, launched a statewide enforcement operation. Items seized included marijuana vegetation, THC vape cartridges, and other products suspected of containing illegal concentrations of THC under Kansas law.
Once the investigations are complete, the KBI will present its findings to prosecutors in each jurisdiction to determine potential charges. Offenses may include unlawful distribution of controlled substances or possession of controlled substances with intent to sell.
The enforcement effort remains ongoing as authorities continue to review evidence and pursue cases tied to the seizures.
