Governor Laura Kelly and Transportation Secretary Calvin Reed have announced $5.3 million in funding for 11 key transportation projects across Kansas through the Kansas Department of Transportation’s (KDOT) Spring 2025 Cost Share Program. Combined with nearly $3 million in local matching funds, the investment will total over $8 million for infrastructure improvements aimed at boosting safety, strengthening local economies, and improving connectivity.
The Cost Share Program supports both rural and urban communities by funding projects that enhance safety, reduce congestion, support job growth, and expand access and mobility. It is a central part of Governor Kelly’s 10-year bipartisan Eisenhower Legacy Transportation Program (IKE).
Since launching in Fall 2019, the program has awarded over $157 million in state funding for 197 projects statewide, generating an additional $128 million in local contributions.
