The Kansas Department of Transportation is now accepting applications for the fall 2025 round of its Cost Share Program, which has provided over $157 million to communities across the state since 2019. The program offers financial support to local entities for construction projects that enhance safety, maximize state funds, and strengthen transportation systems in both rural and urban areas.
This marks the 13th round of funded projects. Eligible projects include roadways (on and off the state system), rail, airports, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, and public transit. Projects should deliver clear transportation benefits and not qualify for other KDOT programs. The program has a total budget of $6 million for this round, with a maximum of $1 million per project.
Applications must be submitted online by Sept. 18. A sample PDF application and more details are available on KDOT’s website.
