KDWP No Longer Offers Senior Lifetime Pass

On October 18, 2024, the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP) announced it would no longer sell the 10-year hunting and fishing license combination, known as the Senior Lifetime Pass, for Kansas residents aged 65 to 74. This change follows the discovery that the statute authorizing these licenses had expired.

“When we discovered the authorization for the Senior Lifetime Pass had lapsed, I instructed staff to stop selling them,” said KDWP Acting Secretary Christopher Kennedy.

All Senior Lifetime Passes sold after the statute’s expiration remain valid and no action is required by current holders.

Kansas residents aged 65 to 74 can still purchase annual hunting and fishing licenses at significantly reduced rates.

This change takes effect immediately.
