The Kansas Center for Rural Health at the University of Kansas Medical Center announced it is kicking off the spring series of Navigating Rural Health Together: Understanding Social Determinants in Rural Kansas.

This year’s program includes three one-hour sessions focused on critical issues facing rural communities, including water access, broadband, and transportation. Each session will have a researcher and a rural community partner share innovative solutions addressing the specific needs of their area.

Participants will learn about the problems rural communities face and work together to find ways to make healthcare more fair and easier to access across Kansas. The sessions will encourage conversation, share local knowledge, and give useful ideas to help rural communities stay healthier and better connected.
