Lahner Sets School Mile Mark at Dodds Invitational

Kansas State junior Vienna Lahner broke the women’s mile school record on Saturday during day two of the DeLoss Dodds Invitational at Cliff Rovelto Indoor Track.

Lahner ran 4:38.84 in the invitational mile, improving her personal best by six seconds. The mark surpassed the previous school record of 4:39.06, which had stood since 1983. She is now the fastest Wildcat in the event in more than two years.

The Wildcats also posted strong results in field events. In the men’s triple jump, Selva Prabhu finished second with a personal best of 16.63 meters, while Trevon Hamer placed third. Both rank among the program’s top indoor performers.

In the men’s heptathlon, Dorian Charles placed third overall with 5,635 points. Angi Pondler won the women’s 600 yards, and Oskars Bambals took first in the men’s 1,000 meters.

Kansas State competes next at the Tyson Invitational on Feb. 13–14.
