Late Denver Touchdown Sends Chiefs to Christmas Loss

The Kansas City Chiefs fell to the Denver Broncos 20-13 on Christmas night, dropping their record to 6-10. The game was tied late before Denver pulled ahead with under two minutes remaining.

Broncos quarterback Bo Nix connected with running back RJ Harvey on a 1-yard touchdown pass to break a 13-13 tie. Kansas City had one final drive but could not reach the end zone.

Chiefs quarterback Chris Oladokun made his first career start and finished 13 of 22 for 66 yards and a touchdown. Early in the game, he threw a 5-yard scoring pass to Brashard Smith, giving both players their first NFL touchdowns. Linebacker Nick Bolton set up that drive with an interception.

Kansas City led at halftime and tied the game again in the fourth quarter on a Harrison Butker field goal. The Chiefs close the season next week against the Raiders.
