Former Kansas State basketball standout Ayoka Lee has transitioned from the court to a new role within the athletic department as a mental health clinician. She began her position on July 28 at the Mental Wellness Center in the Morris Family Olympic Center.
Lee now meets with student-athletes, attends practices, and presents to teams as she builds a caseload. She has been assigned to work with rowing, track and field, golf, and tennis programs during the year.
Her office reflects her athletic career, which included multiple All-Big 12 honors and setting the NCAA Division I single-game scoring record with 61 points in 2022. Lee ended her seven-year career with 2,533 points, 1,262 rebounds, and 356 blocks, ranking among the top players in Big 12 history.
Now, she brings her experience as a student-athlete to support others at K-State.
