Topeka, Kan. – Kansas Insurance Commissioner Vicki Schmidt announced, today, that the Kansas Insurance Department is now accepting appointments for livescan fingerprinting. Applicants who are pursuing their license can now complete the fingerprinting requirement at the Department’s office in Topeka via a livescan fingerprinting machine. “Livescan fingerprinting is another improvement the Department has implemented to make the licensure process as efficient and accessible as possible,” Commissioner Schmidt said. “The Department has worked with the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, local law enforcement agencies and other partners to expand access to livescan fingerprinting across the state to make it easier than ever for insurance applicants to get
fingerprinted for licensure.”
In addition to the livescan machine at the Department’s office in Topeka, applicants can also get their fingerprints taken via livescan at 31 other locations across Kansas. For a list of locations that are offering livescan fingerprinting, see the Department’s Fingerprint FAQ’s. Fingerprints at the Topeka office will be taken by appointment only.
