Mahomes Tops ESPN’s Quarterback Rankings for Third Straight Year

By Jayson Henderson

Patrick Mahomes has been ranked the NFL’s top quarterback by ESPN for the third year in a row and the fifth time in six years. Since becoming the Chiefs’ starter in 2018, Mahomes has led the league in passing yards and touchdowns, while maintaining high efficiency, especially on third downs.

Mahomes holds NFL records for postseason passing yards, touchdowns, and wins. He has guided Kansas City to seven straight AFC Championship Games and won three Super Bowls (LIV, LVII, LVIII), earning MVP honors in each.

He has also won two NFL MVP awards and been selected to six Pro Bowls. Mahomes holds multiple Chiefs franchise postseason records, including completion percentage and passer rating.

Considered one of the greatest quarterbacks of his generation, Mahomes continues to be the driving force behind Kansas City’s sustained success.
