Manhattan Regional Airport Project Experiences Delays

By Trish Svoboda

The Manhattan Regional Airport was hoping to be set for take-off but has suffered some delays. Airport director Brandon Keazer says overall the project has been a smooth one, but ultimately it comes down to one delay, the electrical work that remains on the runway.

“The runway pavement has already been poured. They’re working on painting it this week and sealing and grooving it. One of the last things that needs to be finished is the electrical work.” said Brandon.

At a meeting late last week, they were notified of the delays the construction crew were having.

When Brandon learned of the delay, he immediately contacted American airlines and started working with them and their network planning team. If you’ve already booked a flight, there’s no need to panic. Brandon explained how the situation is being remedied.

Travelers are able to book flights from September 25th and on.
