Sen. Roger Marshall praised President Donald Trump’s first 100 days back in office as among the most consequential in American history, highlighting major actions on border security, energy, public safety, and economic investment.
Sen. Marshall said Trump fulfilled major campaign promises, especially by dramatically cutting illegal border crossings. He also highlighted the deportation of over 130,000 violent criminals, which Kansas law enforcement officials say has helped reduce crime and fentanyl-related deaths.
Sen. Marshall pointed to a drop in gas prices, now approaching $2.50. He said Trump’s rollback of electric vehicle mandates and green energy regulations has also helped reduce costs.
“President Trump also said he would bring down the price of gas and groceries. Now it wasn’t too long ago here in DC that gas was over $5 a gallon and back home it was typically over $4 a gallon. Today all over the state of Kansas the price of gasoline is approaching $2.5 a gallon. Again it’s went from $5 4 a gallon down to $2.5 a gallon. That’s another promise made and another promise kept,” said Sen. Marshall.
He closed by celebrating a reported $7 trillion in new investments under Trump’s leadership, saying the focus on job creation is already paying off for American workers.
