Myers Named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week Again

Kansas State’s Shaylee Myers earned her second Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season after a record-setting performance, the conference announced Tuesday.

Myers recorded 34 kills against West Virginia, the most in the rally-scoring era at K-State and the highest total by any Big 12 player this season. She also became only the fourth Wildcat in program history to reach that mark. Her 39.5 points in the match were the second-most ever by a K-State player.

The Lincoln, Nebraska native added 24 kills and 11 digs in a five-set win over Cincinnati, marking her second career double-double. In two matches, Myers totaled 58 kills, 20 digs, and five aces.

K-State (10-5, 2-2 Big 12) returns home to face Iowa State on Wednesday and Texas Tech on Friday at Morgan Family Arena.
