The National Greyhound Association’s (NGA) Spring Nationals kicked off this week in Abilene. This two-week event brings people and greyhounds from around the world for a week of racing and camaraderie.
Jim Gartland, NGA Executive Director, said there will be over 100 greyhounds represented by 20 to 30 different owners racing with 100 to 200 people expected to be in attendance.
Gartland said the races are open to the public and people are encouraged to attend. Replays will also be shown on the local Eagle Channel for Cable Subscribers.
While attending Abilene for the Spring Nationals take the opportunity to visit the Greyhound Hall of Fame Museum as well. This is a unique event for Kansas and is sure to be a great week for all who attend. More information can be found on the NGA or Visit Abilene Website.
