Thanks to a partnership between Kansas Child Care Training Opportunities (KCCTO) and Kansas State University’s Division of Information Technology, early childhood professionals across Kansas now have access to a new professional development tool. The Career Advancement and Professional Empowerment (Cape) portal is a statewide directory and training management system designed to help users track and manage their career growth. Built on Salesforce, Cape features personalized profiles, statewide tools, and a centralized platform for managing professional progress.
Since its soft launch in January, Cape has supported over 7,000 training enrollments and more than 4,000 user accounts from 99 Kansas counties. Set for official launch in May 2025, the platform is backed by continued support from K-State and the All In For Kansas Kids initiative. Key partners include Child Care Aware of Kansas, the Kansas Children’s Cabinet, and several state agencies committed to workforce development.
