To comply with Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks regulations, new hunting restrictions are in effect at U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) managed lakes in Kansas, including Hillsdale, Clinton, Perry, Pomona, Melvern, Tuttle Creek, Milford, Kanopolis, and Wilson.

Key restrictions include:

  1. Baiting:
  2. Baiting is prohibited within 100 yards of placed bait and remains restricted for 10 days after bait removal.
  3. Normal agricultural operations and scattered grain from natural events are exempt.

2. Night Hunting:

  • The use of artificial lights, light-amplifying scopes, and thermal imaging for hunting is not allowed.

3. Trail Cameras:

  • The use of trail cameras or satellite images for hunting is prohibited unless for official USACE purposes.

      4. Commercial Guiding:

  • Commercial hunting services are restricted without USACE approval.

      5. Antlerless Deer Limit:

  • Antlerless-only permits are limited to specific units and do not apply to public lands.

These restrictions align with Title 36, CFR, Part 327.8 (d), ensuring uniform public hunting regulations statewide.
