The company Pizza Management Company new owners of the Clay Center Pizza Hut, host a scholarship program that allows their high school employees to earn funds for school. The location, which is estimated to open in January, pending construction speed, will hire production team members and service team members.
High school employees earn $.50 per hour toward their scholarship fund, in addition to their regular pay. Therefore, more worked hours equals a larger scholarship.
Jeannie Waters, Director of Operations for Pizza Management Company, said employees are expected to show up on time and in uniform, just as they would in a future job. In addition, she said employees must remain in good standing with the company during their tenure.
Pizza Management Company owns and operates 29 locations in total, including Pizza Huts in Wamego and Beloit.
