Obituary-Robert Ketterman

Robert Carl Ketterman, age 75, entered into rest on Friday, June 24, 2022, at his residence in Concordia, Kansas. He was born on June 27, 1946 in Beaumont, Texas to Charles and Adeline (Aveiro) Ketterman.

Robert grew up in Hawaii till age 16. He eventually enlisted in the Army and was stationed at Fort Riley Kansas. He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged.

Robert worked for Concordia Apartments as a Maintenance man till he retired. Robert was very skilled in construction, roofing, drywall, carpet, and also enjoyed making cabinets. He worked for many different people over the years with all his skills. He very diligently worked to build his own house that he resided in until death. He was a member of the Concordia Wesleyan Church for 30 plus years. He taught bible study, drove the church bus, took youth kids camping and down the river in boats. Robert gave lawn mower rides at the Community Easter Egg hunt as well as Trunk N Treat events. He enjoyed his Life Connection Family at Concordia Wesleyan and faithfully attended Sunday services and seldom missed a service. Robert enjoyed fishing, going to the races, making cabinets, going on morning rides for his prayer time. He enjoyed working and always had a sense of satisfaction with the quality of his work. Robert had a heart for kids and did foster care. He enjoyed noodles and eating out at Chinese restaurants. Robert had a good sense of humor and was quite a jokester. He enjoyed studying his bible, wrote and told parables, and many insightful sayings. His faith was very important to him and he had a heart for people and their salvation.

He is survived by his son, Bobby (Laura) children, Tayler and Kylie; son, Jamey (Brandi) child, Ian; son, Brian (Jennifer) children Hailey, Tristin, Jeremyah, Trinadee; daughter, Chrissy (Mick) children, Marcus, Cassadie, Olivia, and Mason; daughter, Patty (Scott) children Chase, Carlie, Wyatt; son, Shad (Amber) children, Annabelle and Elsie; 2 great grand kids, Case and Maverick, 5 sisters and 2 brothers. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Adeline, 2 brothers, 3 grandsons, Logan, Elliott, and Warren, 2 granddaughters, MacKenzee and Kyra.

It was Robert’s wishes to be cremated and A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m., July 8, 2022 at the Concordia Wesleyan Church, Concordia, Kansas with Pastor David Redmond officiating.
