K-State senior Shalom Olotu earned her second Second Team All-America honor on Saturday (June 14) in the triple jump, placing 12th with a mark of 13.02m (42′ 8 ¾”) at the NCAA Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon.
Olotu also placed 15th in the long jump on Thursday, becoming the first Wildcat since 2015 to earn multiple All-America honors in individual events.
K-State finished the season with six All-Americans and three Honorable Mentions. Junior Tamaiah Koonce earned Honorable Mention after placing 17th in the discus with a 54.85m throw. Junior Sharie Enoe tied for 19th in the high jump (1.74m) for Honorable Mention.
Earlier in the meet, Monique Hardy (hammer throw) and Safhia Hinds (400m hurdles) earned Second Team honors. Jourdin Edwards (400m hurdles) also received Honorable Mention.
The K-State men tied for 30th in team standings with 10 points.
