Pioneer Bluffs Hosts Prairie Talk on Grassland Conservation with Kansas Ranchers

Pioneer Bluffs will host a Prairie Talk on Saturday, March 8, at 1:00 p.m., featuring the Grassland Conservation Series from Ranchland Trust of Kansas (RTK). This event offers a unique opportunity to engage with four ranching families who participated in the series, which was produced in collaboration with Emil Redmon’s Cow.

The featured ranchers include Bill Sproul (Sproul Ranch, Sedan), Matt & Tom Perrier (Dalebanks Angus, Eureka), Heather Fuesz & Irlene Huntington (Double Arrow C and Huntington Ranches, Eureka), and Glenn Walker (Walker Ranch, Brookville). Producer Mark Feiden, who has interviewed more than 80 farmers and ranchers, emphasized the growing concerns about conservation and stewardship.

Attendees are encouraged to watch the interviews beforehand and join the panel discussion. The free event includes refreshments, with donations supporting future programs. Visitors can explore Pioneer Bluffs’ historic site before the talk. RSVP at 620-753-3484 or info@pioneerbluffs.org.
