Pop, funk and blues legends the Commodores to perform at McCain on April 6

MANHATTAN — The 2022-2023 McCain Performance Series continues its spring slate of headliners as it presents the Commodores at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 6, in Kansas State University’s McCain Auditorium.

The Commodores have influenced artists young and old and in all genres with their classic songs in rhythm and blues, Motown and funk. Legends and icons for more than 50 years, the Commodores have sold 70 million albums and boast seven number one hits. Band members Walter “Clyde” Orange, James Dean “JD” Nicholas and William “WAK” King continue to blaze trails all over the world as one of the most successful vocal groups of all time.  

Tickets are available online at mccain.k-state.edu or at the ticket office in the newly expanded McCain lobby from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. Tickets are also available by phone at 785-532-6428 during the same hours. Kids 17 and younger get 50% off the general price of admission.
