On Friday, June 2nd, The Rex Theatre, a beloved community venue, showcased the talent and creativity of local students in the LES/GES Summer School Program’s highly anticipated production of “Winnie the Pooh.” The play, adapted from A.A. Milne’s classic children’s book, was an enchanting experience for audiences of all ages. Students had the opportunity to act, paint, and create posters.
The Rex Theatre came alive with vibrant sets, colorful costumes, and the heartwarming story of Winnie the Pooh and his friends in the Hundred-Acre Woods.
In addition to providing a delightful evening of entertainment, the production organizers decided to implement a free will donation entry fee, with all proceeds going to the Project LEAD after-school program. This initiative strives to provide educational and recreational opportunities to students in the local community.
