Public Hearing Set for February 26 on Proposed Changes to Meat and Poultry Inspection Regulations

A public hearing will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 26, to discuss proposed changes to the regulations governing meat and poultry inspection. The hearing will take place in person at the Kansas Department of Agriculture, 1320 Research Park Dr., Manhattan, and via video conference.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture (KDA) is proposing amendments to two regulations and the revocation of one regulation under the Kansas Meat and Poultry Inspection Act. Those wishing to participate by video conference must pre-register to receive a link, which can be found in the notice of public hearing. Written comments can be submitted on the KDA’s public comment page, by email to Ronda.Hutton@ks.gov, or by mail to the Kansas Department of Agriculture, Attn: Ronda Hutton, 1320 Research Park Dr., Manhattan, KS 66502.
