The American Red Cross is asking people to schedule a blood donation to help keep the blood supply strong during the busy holiday season. Donors are especially needed to support patients throughout the winter.Donors with O positive, O negative, and B negative blood are in particularly high demand now and in the weeks ahead.

December is National Month of Giving, and making a donation part of your holiday traditions can help ensure lifesaving care is available when emergencies happen. Blood already on the shelves is what saves lives.

Anyone who gives blood between December 8–18, 2025, will receive a $15 Amazon gift card by email. Donors who give between December 19, 2025, and January 4, 2026, will get a Red Cross long-sleeved T-shirt, while supplies last. More information about these offers is available at RedCrossBlood.org/gifts, along with photos of the new shirt that can be downloaded and shared.

Schedule an appointment through the Red Cross Blood Donor App, at RedCrossBlood.org, or by calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).
