| WHAT: | The 33rd annual Relay For Life in Topeka, Kansas will take place on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 6:00 – 11:00 pm. The volunteer-led event will celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost to cancer, and raise funds to improve the lives of people with cancer and their families. | WHY: | In 2025, there will be more than 2 million new cancers diagnosed in the United States and 618,120 cancer deaths. In Kansas, more than 15,810 cancers will be diagnosed and 5,680 cancer deaths will occur. Relay For Life has raised more than $6.8 billion to support these efforts since 1985, and the Relay for Life in Topeka hopes to add to that figure this year, working toward the American Cancer Society’s mission to end cancer as we know it, for everyone. |
